BARYTA IODATA (Iodide of Baryta)

Baryta iodata acts on the lymphatic system and it increased leucocytosis i.e. increased number of white cells in the blood, especially during an infection. Baryta iodata is very useful in treatment of Quinsy (complication of tonsil infection that consists of pus), Indurated (hard) glands especially tonsils and breasts as well as tumors.   Strumous ophthalmia with swelling of cervical glands and stunted growth are the other examples of conditions getting good results by baryta iodata.

Baryta iodata is a useful remedy for enlargement of glands. It is also indicated in canver of breast. Baryta iodata has been used empirically, especially in cases of glandular enlargement and new growths, on indications suggested by its two elements.
